• About Her:   Muffy is a well bred sorrel breeding stock paint filly out of the mare Bar Money Maudie and my ex-stallion Major Skip McCue. (both dam and sire are shown on my site.)   She was, unfortunately,  born this spring mid morning in one of our surprise March blizzards.  By the time I got home and discovered her, she had frozen the tips of her ears and both back hooves.  I had the vet out and she said the hooves would likely slough off and be normal.  In her case one hoof came back perfectly, but the other is still a little problematic.  Some days she runs around kicking up her heels but other days she limps a bit on it.  The way it is growing out appears as if she may have laminitis in that hoof.  I decided to place Muffy on my site believing that I may be able to find a suitable home for her.   Depending on growth of the hoof, it is possible she may be fine for very light riding, and certainly would be ok as a broodmare, excellent as a companion horse.   I am no longer breeding paints therefore have no future need for such a horse. 
  
• Muffy is halter broke, sweet, pretty and very quiet and lovable.  Aside from her ear tips frozen and the one (right rear) hoof flawed, both of which are non-hereditary, of course, her conformation is excellent.
• I thought I would put the word out and attempt to find her a good home.

• Dam of this filly is AQHA mare  BAR MONEY MAUDIE, a great granddaughter of  Three Bars (top) and Leo(bottom), two of the most influencial of the original Sires!  Maude is by Patch O Money who is out of Bar Money(AAA and AQHA Supreme Champion), a champion in his own right .  Her bottom side is Leo-bred all the way.   Below is information on her dam's pedigree:

Breeders will often seek out and buy mares sired by a certain stallion because that stallion is noted for his outstanding daughters.  The broodmare sire holds a special place in the Quarter Horse industry.
